Life Balance Leadership and Coaching

Three factors drive me to write about Nature as it impacts Wellness and Life Balance:IMG_4349

  • I’m the daughter of an Olympic-level athlete. Planning for my own health and life energy was something I learned to do from early childhood.  Nature was always a key reference point.  From experience training others with no athletic background, I  believe these proactive skills can be shared and adapted for any age and fitness level. 
  • I’ve spent my professional career as a strategic planner, teacher and advisor. For fifteen years, I helped incoming cabinet ministers and senior government officials think strategically.  I worked with them to identify who and what was important to them in their public role.  Then I worked with them to explore and find the key goals and behaviours that would achieve the results they were seeking.

To relax outside the office, I focused on outdoor athletics, balanced by Pilates.  Eventually I certified as an instructor, and trained others.  At this time a Cabinet Minister with heart problems asked if I would coach his running skills in a nearby park during the lunch hour.  Frankly, I hesitated.   In a moment’s flash of insight, I realized that what he actually needed was not a personal trainer, but a Life Balance Strategist.  He needed someone who would take the same level of research, range and forward thinking as I had used to plan his public life, and apply them to his life as a human being.  He needed me to help identify key goals (physical, mental and of the spirit) and find the behaviours that would lead to achieving these.

 Before you ask more about who I am, let me wonder a little about you…

  • you’re not sure which skills and strategies you might need to achieve this

How I can help:

  • I now combine strategic, athletic and Nature awareness skills to write about and coach Life Balance
  • I work to help people who live in the city find balance, starting with a little more each day
  • I’ve witnessed the power of Nature all over the world.   As we travelled throughout my upbringing, I often missed conventional school.  Instead I learned how different cultures can draw strength from Nature.  Jesus, Mohammed and Buddha are three role models who each spent time in the wilderness and returned with clarity and healing for their people.
  • I share simple Nature strategies from my Olympic-level family, so that you also can become proactive about wellness for yourself and your family
